Mainly retired from Eastman Kodak. (Of course, Kodak itself is now semi-retired. I don't think I had any influence in that.) I still write MATLAB code as I find something interesting, and I do attempt to write new tools to put on the File Exchange when I think I can make a contribution.

However, I DON'T answer direct e-mail questions, and I do NOT do homework. In general, your homework is YOUR problem, not mine. Please do NOT e-mail me with your homework problems or student projects. If I was willing to answer your questions, I would very rapidly become overwhelmed, because one question is never just one simple question.

When I'm not doing something with MATLAB, you might find me playing bridge, either in the club or online on BBO.

Professional Interests: MATLAB, numerical analysis, mathematical modeling

Avocational interests: Bridge, woodworking, woodturning

I'm a customer success engineer at MathWorks Japan. My addiction to MATLAB got me into MathWorks. I love showing MATLAB, talking about MATLAB, and thinking about how to make MATLAB an even better tool. For 8 years, I was an application engineer at the headquarter, and then I was a training engineer for 4 years at the Japan office, and now I'm a customer success engineer.

I am also one of the bloggers for File Exchange Pick of the Week - http://blogs.mathworks.com/pick.
Professional Interests: data analysis, gui building, data exploration, data visualization, biomechanics

Note: Please do not send me individual messages or questions, as I will not be able to respond to them. If you have technical questions about MATLAB, please use the various resources on MATLAB Central. If you have a valid license, you can also use Technical Support.

I'm currently an audio DSP research engineer at Creative Labs. I previously worked as a lecturer in Audio at the University of Surrey. I earned a BMus degree in Music & Sound Recording (Tonmeister) in 2007 and a PhD in Audio in 2011, both from the University of Surrey. My thesis was titled "A psychoacoustic engineering approach to machine sound source separation in reverberant environments".

Aaron T. Becker's Robot Swarm Lab

http://swarmcontrol.net, http://www.youtube.com/aabecker5, https://sites.google.com/site/aabecker/ Aaron Becker's passion is robotics and control. Currently as an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Houston, he is building a robotics lab. Previously as a Research Fellow with Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, he implemented robotics powered & controlled by the magnetic field of an MRI, in the Pediatric Cardiac Bioengineering Lab with Pierre Dupont. As a Postdoc at Rice University in the Multi-Robot Systems Lab with James McLurkin, Aaron investigated control of distributed systems and nanorobotics with experts in the fields. His online game swarmcontrol.net seeks to understand the best ways to control a swarm of robots by a human--through a community of game-developed experts. Aaron earned his PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, advised by Tim Bretl.

Techsource Technical Team

We're here to show that programming low-cost hardware with Simulink can be fun! We understand that picking up the Simulink low-cost hardware Support Packages can be a challenge for first-timers.

Our projects range from easy-medium-difficult level and aim to remove the early roadblocks that come with trying something new. They contain full model files, component libraries and step by step documentation with pictures.

At this early stage we will be focusing on Simulink Support Package for Arduino.

We're located in South-East Asia: In Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

After 30 years as a hardware development engineer in the T&M industry, I joined the Mathworks Applications Engineering group. When I started in 2001, the AE head count was about 10. When I retired in 2015, it was over 200! Working for a growing organization is far better than a shrinking one. That said, I am still an avid user of both MATLAB and Simulink. My latest Simulink project is and FPGA based radio (see my QRZ page). As for MATLAB, I'm using it to control GPIB based test equipment. New uploads will hopefully be coming soon! (September 2017).

I started using MATLAB in 1985. Top of the line PCs had no hard drive, only 2e-3 GHz CPU, and 5e-4 GB RAM. Look how far we have come since then. Eventually I joined MathWorks. As an application engineer I met thousands of MATLAB users and helped them solve problems. As a quality engineer within the development organization I helped make MATLAB itself even better. Over the years I have used MATLAB to solve a wide range of technical computing problems. I enjoy exploring new problem spaces for myself and helping others learn to use MATLAB.
Professional Interests: data analysis, visualization & algorithm development, signal & image processing, all sorts of scientific/engineering computational problem solving
