Polar Diagrams of Power Line

Plot of polar diagrams for a power transmission line with no-load operating conditions.

The polar diagrams of voltages and currents for a transmission line are built and displayed. For the given parameters, the forward and backward waves of voltage and currrent are respectively calculated, with line length in the range 0-lambda/2. The line length can be varied with the corresponding spinner between lambda/2 and lambda/4: the polar diagrams are automatically updated, so that the effects of the change can be immediately observed. For a change of any other parameter, the diagram should be plot again by clicking the button "Plot diagram". The app is developed within a power systems course and it is intended for educational use.
