Mechanical model of the wind turbine including different wind speed profiles

Only applicable for DFIG based WT

This is the mechanical model of the wind turbine including three different wind speed profiles. Each wind speed profile can be selected and model can be simulated. This model shows the working of the speed and pitch control of the WT. The generator and converter model is approximated by a simple first order delay. With wind profiles, the behaviour of the wind turbine prime mover can be observed. This is a model based on realistic data.
