The Vegetation Depth Estimation Tool (VdET) is created in order to offer the users a practical simulation environment for performing vegetation depth calculation for different tree models. The tool is programmed in MATLAB environment.
However, for the sake of speed efficiency, some core functions such that ray-triangle intersection is coded in C/C++ language. The VdET is developed to handle different types of trees for simulation and testing with two methods; Ray tracing and ANN.
