Electrohydraulic servoactuators provide one of the best controllers from the point of view of precision and speed of response. They are used to control wide range of mechanical parameters, such as the displacement, angular displacement, strain, force, and others. They incorporate, mostly, a two-stage electrohydraulic servovalve and hydraulic actuator; linear or rotary. The description of construction, operation and mathematical modeling are given in my book:
