R2013a: Where are the improvements? Is TMW even listening?

8 views (last 30 days)
I would like to get people's feedback on the changes made in 2013a. I find the release notes to be incredibly dissapointing, in terms of improvements to Matlab. I submitted a number of bug/feature enhancements, particpated in the beta testing (and gave plenty of feedback), and have been really underwhelmed by the changes made in the new release. Is it just me? The only one of the items that was heavily commented on after prior releases that was addressed was that they brought back the help table of contents (although they didn't even get that right! Why should it scroll off the screen when you scroll down through the help text?) Why have none of the other items discussed made the cut? Folks can find the last topic at:
What do you think?

Hi Dan, I'm the Marketing Product Manager for MathWorks documentation. Just wanted to note that the development team is aware that the ideal behavior would allow for a persistent table of contents that scrolls with the page, and that they are working to incorporate this change in a future release.
A similar question (to yours) can be seen here: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/67078-experiences-with-release-2013a, but if you have specific concerns regarding bugs or enhancements reported, please let me know.
