How to get the photoshop plugin working

5 views (last 30 days)
Hello all
I am using the instructions on this page (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/photoshop-matlab.html) to get a mathlab plugin in Photoshop. I need to download, extract & relocate a folder for that. All is well, except that the content of that folder doesn't seem to contain the test files of which they talk on the web page. I use Matlab R2019b and Photoshop CC 2019.
Besides that, the instructions ask to use the commands
testall
and
pslaunch
to test the connection and launch Photoshop. However, Matlab tells me these commands to not exist. Even more, on the Matlab pages I don't seem to find any information on this plugin connection to Photoshop.
Does anyone has experienced this, or happens to know how to fix this?
Thanks!

Have you added those files to MATLAB's path. Follow the instructions on this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/using/photoshop-matlab.html under (Optional) Set access to Photoshop from MATLAB/

That package is actually an adobe product. They develop and manage it. Mathworks does not have any control over that package, so they don't have any documentation on it too.

To come back to this; I had contact with Adobe back then and even they didn't manage to fix it. So I worked around it in a 2-step way, not using a direct plug-in. It's a pity but it works eitherway :)
