I was going to ask you the same thing. It's not one of the noise types built in to imnoise().

Explain this answer. How is this an answer to your question? Or should it have been a comment to my answer? I can't tell if randraw worked for you or not. Apparently it did not because otherwise you could have just opened it up and seen the equation. So, apparently, given an answer (randraw) you reject it without saying why, and say you need an equation. But I think that if you know what rice noise is, then you must know the equation. Otherwise why would you even want to generate it? If you don't know the equation, then you must not know how to do web searches to find it. So you can see why we're confused. Help us help you.

Do you have an additional question? If so, state it, otherwise, please mark it as Accepted.
MIMT imnoiseFB() is largely a replacement for IPT imnoise(), though it offers a few new options not offered in the original. One of those added features is an option for Rician noise. If you're curious about the implementation, open up the fle and read the corresponding block. The comments include a web link to references.
From the synopsis:
imnoiseFB(INPICT,'rice',{SIGMA})
Additive Rician noise of the specified scale parameter SIGMA (default 0.05).
