Hi, I am new to wavelet and im using modwt and modwtmra function in matlab for time series. The data used is the log return of oil price data.
I've read that Symlets are Daubechies least symmetric wavelets and I understand the construction of symlets is very similar to Daubechies. I just want to confirm if we should get the same output if we are using dbN and symN?
Im getting the same output when using those 2 wavelets for the same vanishing moment and I dont know how to validate my answer. Maybe there's something wrong with my code.
