For MATLAB Compiler releases prior to release R2020a, installing MATLAB Web App Server requires a graphical interface to use and configure.

As of release R2020a, there are now two variants of the MATLAB Web App Server:

- The development server as included with MATLAB Compiler, this still requires a graphical interface for installation and configuration

- A separate MATLAB Web App Server product:

This product can be installed and configured without a graphical interface. You could first install the product and MATLAB Runtime using their non-interactive install methods:

And you then use the command-line scripts to setup and start the instance:
