How can I remove empty default excel sheets without using ActiveX functionality?

1 view (last 30 days)
While exporting my data from MATLAB to EXCEL using writetable function, I encounter the problem of 3 default empty EXCEL sheets. It happens when I define the sheets name in MATLAB. Is there any possibility to solve this problem that does not require using ActiveX functionality? It is important for me to export data to specified worksheet that works on every operating system. I know that ActiveX works only for Windows as described in: https://de.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/92449-how-can-i-delete-the-default-sheets-sheet1-sheet2-and-sheet3-in-excel-when-i-use-xlswrite or here: https://de.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/50371-removesheet123-remove-default-excel-sheets. I work on MATLAB r2018b.
