So I wanted to know how should change the double the symbol duration and halve the subcarrier spacing so that it appears that it is operating in a 10 MHz bandwidth.

Transmit your signal in 10 MHz rate

Thanks for replying. Can you explain why transmitting at 10 MHz (your answer) is same as operating in a 10 MHz channel (my question) ?

Take the 802.11ac 80 MHz signal as example, it is 80 MHz just becaue the raw digital signal (digital baseband signal) is sampled by DAC running in 80 MHz rate! So, tune your baseband sampling rate to 10 MHz IS to transmit in 10MHz rate.
