Why cascade discrete PI regulators in a triggered system do not work?

I am simulating a model of a Vienna rectifier in Simulink. I have an external voltage control loop with a PI regulator and a internal current control loop with a P or PI regulator. I use discrete PI regulators from the Simulink library. The PI regulator in the inner loop is not working. It shows nothing in its output. Why is that? Maybe I should also mention that the controller is placed in a triggered block.
