Hi, This is possibly a little trivial, but my in my current university, we do not use matlab, but I am starting a graduate course in another university in september where it will be used. Am I eligible to use the student license now to learn matlab? Thankis

Students do not need to be registered in any course that specifically uses MATLAB to be eligible for the student licence, so what you propose is fine.

If that is a degree granting place then you are eligible.
Where I am, "college" generally grants "certificates" rather than "degrees" but there are countries where "college" grants degrees, especially for something like university.
