[SimEvents]How to serve a Entitie with two or more servers?

1 view (last 30 days)
Hi.
I'm using SimEvents to model a Distribution Center. Delivery requests arriving according to an exponential distribution average of 240 minutes. The fleet of this center is composed of three trucks that can be allocated on two docks. There are 8 carriers and to load a truck are needed 4 of them. Thus, for process a entitie (request), are need: at least one dock, one truck and four carriers. That way it would any suggestions on how to use the SimEvents to make the entity (request) be process only if the resources are available.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Are you using the Resource Acquire and Release blocks? This is what I would use to make sure that the request is only processed if the resources are available. You can define three types of resources: docks, a truck, and carriers.
