Matlab stops processing when I lock my system

52 views (last 30 days)
I am trying to run a very long simulation and I start the process before leaving from work and lock the system. However, after some time Matlab stops running and resumes only after I unlock the system in the morning. This has been wasting a lot of days of my simulation. I am using R2013a.
Did anyone else face a similar issue and know what the problem could be?

It seems like this is not a problem of Matlab, but of the operating system. Obviously the machine is not only locked, but falls into sleep. There are several method to keep the machine awake. Under Windows this can be done by FEX:WinPower:
WinPower('sleep', 'off');
Under linux the tool "Caffeine" might be useful.
