As @Dyuman Joshi pointed out in your earlier posting, Kubuntu 25 isn't on the list of supported OS so there's no unequivocal basis for complaint that it fails. I'd think there is no major surprise here since the difference from supported Ubuntu is the desktop with which rendering and the new desktop are undoubtedly going to have issues that would have to be resolved.

Only Mathworks will be able to resolve this; what are Mathworks" plans (if any) for Kubuntu are not stated publicly, nonetheless, you can contact Mathworks at <Product Support Page> and see if they would be willing to try to help resolve the issue. Providing the dump report would be required information if they were so inclined; it's an outside chance there's internal knowledge that might be able to suggest a workaround, but just guessing there's probably a better chance this is a show stopper at least for now.

I didn't do a search; if you could find an indication of OS and MATLAB versions anybody has gotten to work together, that would probably be the current workaround. Or, the supported path would be to use a combination of OS and MATLAB release that is on the supported list; then Mathworks will help with install and startup issues.
