- use matlab on the cluster (assuming you have access), the university often has licenses for those
- use remote access (VPN/RDP), put the license on your most powerful machine
- use matlab online (16GB RAM and iirc 4CPUs are enough for prototyping

Unlikely, as (to best of my knowledge), the license is linked to a hardware profile of your machine, so it may work for a bit, then stop.
If you need multiple machines as a student, the workarounds I've used
You can also use Octave which is open source/free and mostly compatible for your code

It's so frustrating that TMW won't just link to the actual licensing statement for the products so these questions could be answered easily.
A search of Answers found some ancient responses (2014-2016 quite prevelant and the last I could find was around 2019) that were from Mathworks staff, there was nothing very recent that outlined specifics.
I'll venture from what I do know that the simultaneous use will definitely be in violation of the EULA terms even if you can manage to activate both copies simultaneously (that seems to be a hit and miss proposition that some appear to say they have succeeded while others say they haven't).
I believe (but I am definitely not an authorized MW employee who has direct knowledge) in actuality it is possible and within the license terms to install on multiple machines, but the student license is supposed to be only able to be activated on one machine at a time. That doesn't prevent you from logging in to the license center and changing which is the activated copy; only have to deactivate one in order to activate the other.
However, the only way to get absolutely official information is to contact Mathworks directly.

1. License Options
1.1. Individual License Option
(i) The Individual License Option provides for use of Programs by a single
Named User.
(ii) A Named User may install the Programs on up to four (4) different
Computers but may not use a Program on more than two (2) Computers
simultaneously, except that Student and Home Licenses are limited to a
single Computer.
(iii) The Licensee may redesignate the Named User authorized to use a
Program, whether temporarily or not, up to four (4) times in any twelve
(12) month period, except that Student and Home Licenses are not
transferable.
