hello sir, how to get information of the image(imfinfo)

I executed DWT and got the image(which i am attaching ) as a LL band(upperLeft)

imData=imread('lena256.bmp');
[rows, columns, numberOfColorChannels] = size(dwt1_imData);
r1 = int32(M/2);
c1 = int32(N/2);
r2 = r1+1;
c2 = c1+1;
upperLeft = dwt1_imData(1:r1, 1:c1);

Now I want to take the information of upperLeft image. As I read the imfinfo it needs file format. e.g k=imfinfo('lena.bmp');

how to apply imfinfo on upperLeft as its extension is not known.

imfinfo gives information about the image file not the image itself. It does not apply to an image in memory. You'd have to save your image first. There's still would be little point in calling imfinfo since it will just return the settings you've specified when saving the image.

The question then becomes what information were you looking for? You're not going to get it from imfinfo.

I must be misunderstanding something about your question, because the width of upperLeft is obviously c1, the height obviously r1, since you've defined it this way. The bitmap is upperLeft itself.
