I would like to create some simple 3D shapes by revolving around an axis - such as a cone for use in the partial differential equation toolbox. I started by looking here:
and then under "Geometry and Mesh" it describes how one might create cubes, cylinders or spheres by using for example the extrude function. I could not find an example of a cone and there does not appear to be a corresponding "revolve" function to create something like a cone. Am I missing something - or is this a function that will be appearing soon ?
Thanks
Chris

Perhaps not the answer you are looking for, but I've found it easiest to create my geometries in other tools, and then import an STL file of it into MATLAB. Most CAD tools provide an option of exporting to STL.
