I am trying to find my .XLA file that is supposed to be auto generated in MATLAB Compiler.
I am able to Build my project successfully, but cannot find the .XLA file.

In order for MATLAB to generate this .XLA file please make sure that the "Trust Access to the VBA project model" option is checked.
This can be located as follows in Microsoft Excel 2007:
Home->Excel Options->Trust Center->Trust Center Settings->Macro Settings
