Why do I get incorrect geometries of crossroad maneuvers inside the exported OpenDrive file?

For some maneuver roads, the OpenDRIVE export creates geometrically incorrect roads/lanes in RoadRunner.

The problem is shown below highlighted with the blue ellipse:

If you export to OpenDrive, you can select the option 'Clamp distances ':

This option ensures that the maneuver road does not have any very short segments as visible here.
