Receiving error "An unexpected error has occurred" when installing MATLAB Drive Connector

20 views (last 30 days)
I'm trying to run the MATLAB Drive Connector installer, and every time I get the message "An unexpected error has occurred" and the installation fails. I checked the directory and there are no spaces or non-Ascii characters in any folders in the path. I also tried running the installer in different directories (including directly in C:), but I always get the same error. My operating system is Windows 11 OS build 22000.282.

Hi Joseph,
I'm sorry to hear you were having trouble with this! Is this issue still happening?
MATLAB Drive Connector v1.9.1.1 (latest release) on Windows 11 installs to:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\MathWorks
Would you be able to check that this destination is writable?
Thanks!

Thank you so much for reaching out! I checked that folder and it was set to read only. After changing that setting, I was able to install MATLAB Drive Connector.
Thanks again for your help!
