Start and Shut Down MATLAB Drive Connector

Start MATLAB Drive Connector

Start the MATLAB® Drive™ Connector from within MATLAB or from your operating system's applications.

Start Connector from Inside MATLAB

From within MATLAB, click the MATLAB Drive button . This starts the Connector.

If you do not see the MATLAB Drive button, add it to your MATLAB toolbar using the process described in Access Files in MATLAB Drive Folder.

Start Connector from Applications

  • On Windows®

    Go to the Start menu, and click MATLAB Drive Connector.

    If, when you start MATLAB Drive Connector, you see a security alert, click Allow access to continue.

  • On macOS

    Navigate to ~/Applications in Finder, and click MATLAB Drive Connector.

  • On Linux®

    Execute ~/bin/MATLABConnector start in a terminal window.

Shut Down MATLAB Drive Connector

When you exit MATLAB Drive Connector, MATLAB Drive stops syncing the files in your MATLAB Drive folder with files on the cloud. You can, however, continue to edit any file in the MATLAB Drive folder on your computer. When you restart MATLAB Drive Connector, file sync restarts.

On Windows

  1. Right-click the MATLAB Drive Connector icon in the Windows system notification area.

  2. Click Exit.

On macOS

  1. Click the MATLAB Drive Connector, and click .

  2. Click Quit.

On Linux

  1. Execute ~/bin/MATLABConnector toggle in a terminal window.

  2. Click the MATLAB Drive Connector, and click .

  3. Click Quit.
