Compute dynamic pressure using velocity and air density
Aerospace Blockset / Flight Parameters
The Dynamic Pressure block computes dynamic pressure.
Dynamic pressure is defined as:
q¯=12ρV2,
where is air density and V is velocity.
expand all
V
Velocity, specified as a three-element vector.
Data Types: double
double
ρ
Air density, specified as a scalar.
Output 1
Dynamic pressure, returned as a scalar.
How to model the Wright Brother's 1903 Flyer modeled in Simulink®, and Aerospace Blockset™ software. This model simulates the longitudinal motion of the Flyer in response to the pitch commands of a simulated pilot.
How to model the De Havilland Beaver using Simulink® and Aerospace Blockset™ software. It also shows how to use a pilot's joystick to fly the De Havilland Beaver. This model has been color-coded to aid in locating Aerospace Blockset blocks. The red blocks are Aerospace Blockset blocks, the orange blocks are subsystems containing additional Aerospace Blockset blocks, and the white blocks are Simulink blocks.
