Capabilities and Features

Computer Vision Toolbox™ Support Package for Xilinx® Zynq®-Based Hardware enables you to generate and verify vision algorithms on Zynq-based hardware.  Using this support package in conjunction with a Xilinx Zynq-7000 SoC board and an FMC HDMI card, you can capture and process HDMI video streams. This live video connection enables you to quickly test your vision design under real-world conditions.

You can use this support package in a hardware/software co-design workflow spanning simulation, prototyping, verification, and implementation on Xilinx Zynq devices and platforms. The hardware / software co-design makes it easier to integrate Model-Based Design into your workflow, enabling fast design iteration cycles and helping you to detect and correct design and specification errors early.

Support highlights include:

  • Target your video processing algorithms to Zynq hardware from Simulink®
  • Stream HDMI signals into Simulink to explore designs with real data
  • Deploy algorithms and visualize using HDMI output on a screen
  • Connect any HDMI camera source to the FMC-HDMI-CAM card (see Supported Hardware table below)

Additional Requirements

Vision HDL Toolbox™ and HDL Coder™ are required for developing algorithms that run on the FPGA fabric of the Zynq device.  Embedded Coder® is required for customizing the algorithms running on the ARM processor of the Zynq device.  Note that Computer Vision Toolbox and Simulink are required for using this support package.
