Job Summary

In this role you collaborate with our reselling partners and university customers in EMEA to understand and solve their technical and business challenges. You will help paint a vision of how MathWorks can help customers address their challenges in education and research. And you will demonstrate the value of MATLAB and Simulink to grow adoption in curriculum, research and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Train, coach and model the way for our reselling partners (Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Poland, South Africa, Turkey, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia). And take joint responsibility with the partners for technical adoption activities at top universities in the various regions.
- Plan and strategize. Using data-driven account assessments you help our partners develop a strategy to engage with universities to increase their tool usage and adoption in engineering, science. Jointly with the other members of the account team you review progress and adapt your plan.
- Engage with university customers. You are on campus! With your partner teams you meet and with customers to address their needs and support integration of our tools in teaching and research. Some meetings involve key decision makers who seek your insight and value your connections at other universities.
- Create a vision for success. Be it in course work, in research, or through networking activities. It is our mission to make our customers successful by providing sustainable and proven value. And it is up to you and your partner teams to craft a vision to make this happen.
- Cultivate champions. Through your customer engagements you establish business relationships with leading faculty and researchers. Jointly with your partner teams you grow them to become MathWorks advocates on-campus and in the broader education and research communities. Likewise, you advocate on behalf of customers and influence the future of MathWorks offerings.
- Foster collaboration. Resourcefulness is a must-have for this role. We will help you ramp up to be successful and to effectively engage other MathWorks personnel and external stakeholders to assist in key activities and specialized product areas.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
Additional Qualifications
- Proven working experience with MATLAB & Simulink
- Candidates must be willing to travel 35% to 50% of the time
- Strong English language skills (written and spoken) are required
- Experience in developing laboratory or course material is a plus
- Experience as an instructor or a researcher is a plus
- Experience in a customer-facing technical or marketing role is a plus
