We are seeking a Global Account Manager for one of our key customers in the Netherlands. Establish yourself as a trusted commercial and business advisor in this dynamic field.

With your consultative sales skills you will help to define the future strategy and drive the adoption of MathWorks software development environments, improve the position of our products, platforms and services.

Your focus will be on understanding and documenting the intricacies of our customers’ journey, their long-term strategies, and the technical directions of their product portfolio. Leveraging your customer knowledge, sales acumen and industry insights you will closely collaborate with extended account team members, to build mutual executive level relationships, and to align the customer strategies with our cutting-edge products, services, and technical solutions.

This position requires an understanding of R&D processes, including software development, and a proactive collaborative approach to identifying opportunities for strategic technical engagements in research and innovation.

Responsibilities

Customer Success Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly senior and executive technical management.
  • Develop and document strategic account plans with shared objectives
  • Implement a governance process to ensure alignment and deliver results focused on enhancing R&D capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for strategic and operational matters, demonstrating a deep understanding of customer strategies, needs, and objectives related to R&D to both the customer and MathWorks collaborators. 

Driving Software Development Quality and Speed

  • Leverage your understanding of our technologies, industry trends such as AI, Cloud, Model-Based Design, and the market dynamics in Silicon Manufacturing will enable you to identify and cultivate new business opportunities that enhance the customer’s R&D processes.
  • Identify transformative R&D projects early and engage MathWorks technology experts to secure design wins.
  • Drive training and consulting services to maximize ROI for customers and meet or exceed usage and revenue growth targets. 

Manage Contracts

  • Lead contract negotiations and collaborate with legal and finance teams.
  • Orchestrate the back office
  • Maintain healthy relationships with customer IT and Procurement

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the Netherlands.

Additional Qualifications

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Proven success in team-based selling of complex technical development products and services to international high-tech accounts.
  • Understanding of the semiconductor equipment industries and related technologies.
  • Self-driven with a high energy level.
  • Excellent command of English, at European Framework of Reference Level C1.
  • Outstanding verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Dutch language skills are a plus.
  • Experience in project management of deep technical engagements in R&D.
