Overview
MathWorks engineers will demonstrate the use of Simscape Electrical for modeling and simulating power electronics-based systems such as power converters and motor inverters. Live product examples will show how to select suitable modeling fidelities, incorporate device data to parameterize semiconductors, analyze electrical and thermal behavior, speed up studies using reduced‑order models, and evaluate system response under fault conditions — all before hardware testing.
Highlights
Attendees will learn how to model and simulate power electronic-based systems to:
- Choose the appropriate model fidelity
- Parameterize semiconductor devices using pre-parameterized device libraries or manufacturer‑specific data
- Simulate converter and inverter behavior including losses and coupled thermal effects.
- Speed up simulation using reduced‑order models (ROM)
- Configure and manage model‑level faults
Learn how modeling and simulating with Simscape Electrical leads to better power electronics control.
