Overview

Please join MathWorks at this workshop, where you will actively explore image processing and deep learning workflows using MATLAB. You will learn core concepts through hands-on examples and live exercises, focusing on analyzing, processing, and extracting meaningful information from images and other data types, as well as building, training, and deploying deep learning models.

Highlights

  • Learn and apply fundamental image processing workflows, including morphology, segmentation, and geometric transformations.
  • Explore advanced techniques such as 3D image processing and visualization using MATLAB.
  • Gain a foundational understanding of deep learning concepts and practical skills in using pre-trained models and training convolutional neural networks.
  • Discover the benefits of transfer learning for classification and object detection tasks.

Who Should Attend

  • Undergraduate and master’s students
  • PhD candidates
  • Postdoctoral researchers
  • University professors and academic researchers

No prior expertise in deep learning is required, but basic familiarity with MATLAB (like completing the MATLAB Onramp) is recommended. titles or roles who would most benefit from attending the event

About the Presenter

Carlos de Cos is a PhD in Robotics working at MathWorks as Education Customer Success Engineer. He supports teaching and research at Nordic universities and research institutions to simplify their problems and move towards interactivity and time efficiency. Prior to joining MathWorks, Carlos worked as a postdoctoral researcher in human-robot interaction at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He holds a PhD in Robotics with a specialization in aerial manipulators (i.e., drones equipped with robot arms) from the University of Seville, Spain, and an MSc and BSc in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in designing aircraft and spacecraft, also from the University of Seville.
