Language: English
Written for undergraduate mathematics and engineering students and practicing engineers, Ripples in Mathematics presents the theory and application of the discrete wavelet transform. The book is based on an approach to discrete wavelets called lifting. The connections between lifting and filter theory are presented, and the wavelet packet transforms are defined.
MATLAB is used to solve example problems and develop implementations of transforms throughout the book. The Signal Processing Toolbox is also used to solve examples.
