Language: English
This book is written for engineers who design, specify, use, or test frequency synthesizers and want to gain an understanding of the effects on the systems in which the frequency synthesizers are embedded. While the book emphasizes phase-locked synthesizers, direct and digital synthesizers are covered as well. Some of the topics covered in this book include frequency dividers, phase detectors, higher-order loops, and sampling effects. MATLAB functions are included as aids for design and analysis of synthesizer loops, including complex nonlinear simulations of loops in the acquisition process.
