These examples demonstrate the generation of multi-tone signals, pulsed radar signals and multi-carrier modulated waveforms using MATLAB and the Instrument Control Toolbox as your single software environment to configure, control, and download waveforms to Agilent M8190A and 81180A arbitrary waveform generators.
When testing RADAR systems, Satellite communications, and other RF and high-speed communication systems, it is necessary to generate a wide variety of simple and complex signals with high fidelity. MATLAB and the toolboxes provide a large set of functions required to synthesize these signals based on mathematical and/or empirical equations.
The second step in testing the physical system involves downloading the synthesized waveforms using signal generation hardware.
These examples contain MATLAB scripts and GUIs that demonstrate signal synthesis and generation using Agilent arbitrary waveform generators. The MATLAB scripts have been tested to work with the Agilent 81180A AWGs and the Agilent M8190A AWGs.
