This simple program has been developed as a part of a research project at the Oslo and Akershus University College, Norway. It is made for students and lecturers of structural engineering at college/university level. It is intended to support active learning and help first year engineering students to easily grasp the underlying concepts of classical beam theory. It does so by showing the deformation of an three-dimensional beam under stress. This system is early stage and needs further development so feel free. You can change the length, loading, boundary conditions, cross-sections and material properties of the beam! And the changes will appear in real time!
