How to search for contributors with most answers matching a chosen tag

1 view (last 30 days)
I would like to identify contributors who have supplied the highest number or highest voted answers to questions with a certain tag or term, in my case 'Simscape'. (Reading these contributors' past answers will increase my limited Simscape knowledge.) Can you recommend a search technique to identify contributors who repeatedly answer questions containing a term such as 'Simscape', either in Matlab Answers or the Newsgroup? Happy to use Mathworks' search tools or an outside search (Google).

There is no direct method. However, there are only 68 Questions with tag:simscape . Search on that, sort by number of answers, look to see who answered. Repeat for product:simscape

Thanks, that does work nicely since there are so few questions/answers in this topic. On the other hand, I wish there was more Simscape activity, here and in the Mathwork blogs. I suppose that is a symptom of not too many Simscape users. I will have to be creative in finding ways to learn Simscape.

I have concerns about this strategy and employing functionality like this. It seems like you (or others) might use it as a means to find contributers to contact directly with questions.
I also do not think that limiting your reading to only answers provided by a few select individuals is particularly useful. I would suggest reading the questions that seem important to you.
Finally, I would think that given less than 50 (30) users have provided more than 100 (200) answers, the sorting is probably not that useful.

The sorting part is just to allow you to stop more easily once you get to the Questions that have no Answer.

I understand the concern about being contacted directly; it was annoying the few times it has happened to me. The challenge is following a thin thread of expert Simulink traffic amid the torrent of Matlab: 5-10 generous experts answer most of the Simulink questions with solid knowledgeable answers. It has been helpful to work through their past careful responses. The critical mass of Simscape experts is even lower, but there are some that showed up via Walter's sorting approach - thankfully! If you think of a higher-value approach to learning Simscape, I would love to hear it.
